We’re pleased to confirm that the work to improve the bus shelter on the green in the middle of Minera will be undertaken during the week of 2 September.
The roof will be pressure washed to clear the accumulation of moss, and any broken tiles and damage to the roof interior will be made good.
The gutters and drainpipe will be replaced, and a soakaway installed so that the ground around the shelter will not be prone to flooding in wet weather. The edges of the hard standing around the building will also be cleaned and re-defined.
There will be some equipment on the green for a few days, including a pressure washer and a mini digger, but the site will be manned at all times and work will fit round regular use of the bus stop and green, including the resumption of school bus runs from the middle of the week.
