Last year we were asked by one of our younger residents if the Gwynfryn football pitch could be marked out with white lines to improve it as a playing area. We took this idea up and approached a contractor, but after a frustrating couple of months the promised lines never appeared and our phone calls and emails stopped being answered.
Around a month ago a different contractor got in touch to enquire if we had any work which he could quote for, which brought the football field back into focus. It’s now fully marked out, and we will keep the lines refreshed as the year progresses.
The field has always been popular with local children, and we hope they’ll now enjoy using it even more.
